Terms & conditions.
The terms that apply when you book a seat with Kanat Automobile.

What follows is a draft structure describing how the system behaves today. It is not the operator's policy and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
Draft — pending legal review. Most clauses below are headings and plain-language summaries — a layout for a lawyer to fill. Nothing marked clause to be drafted is binding wording and it should not be relied on. The sections that describe how booking, payment, changes and boarding work are accurate to the system as it behaves today.
1. Booking a seat
A booking is confirmed only once payment clears and a booking reference is issued. Seats you select during booking are held for 20 minutes and are released automatically back on sale if payment does not complete in that time.
Seats are sold, and check-in closes, 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.

2. Payment
Fares are quoted in Naira and are payable in full at the time of booking. Card and transfer payments are handled by our payment partner; we do not store card details.
Where a payment cannot be confirmed with the provider straight away, the booking is held for review rather than cancelled, so that a seat is never cancelled while the money for it may still be in flight.

3. Changes & refunds
A confirmed booking may be cancelled, or moved once to another departure, before the coach departs and before the passenger has boarded. What share of the fare is returned, and where it is credited, is set out in full in the cancellation and refund policy, which is read from the same system that pays the refund.
Refunds are credited to the wallet on your Kanat Automobile account. They are not reversed to the card or transfer used to pay.

4. Boarding & ID
Passengers must arrive at least 30 minutes before departure and present their booking reference together with the identification used at booking. Boarding closes 5 minutes before the scheduled departure.
Each seat is booked to a named passenger and the coach travels with a manifest of those names.

5. Luggage
Luggage is weighed and charged at the park on the day, not booked online. Allowances, excess charges, parcels and prohibited items are set out in the baggage policy.

6. Delays & cancellations

7. Conduct on board
